Filming Report by Scott Frankton, 8th June 2007

Right - I managed to get up at 7am to go and see the filming - and it wasn't all inside as we first thought. The crew set up at 8am near Cathays train station to film a sequence of Clyde walking down the road talking on his phone. Later on Maria and her hunky Dad arrived. Unfortuantely I couldnt really stay any longer, as I have a load of ironing to do . . .(the glamour of a being a location scooper!)

Cardiff University Memo: BBC's filming for Sarah Jane Adventures

A BBC film crew will be in the Science Library in the University's Main Building filming scenes for a new children's series called the .Sarah Jane Adventures' on June 8th 2007 from 7am to 5pm. The entrance floor will remain open but there will be no access to the reading room or the journals collection on the first floor of the library between 8.45am and 5.00pm. Library staff have been guaranteed limited access to retrieve journals from the first floor reading room and stack 1. There may be a slight delay in retrieval, but we would hope to provide items relatively quickly throughout the day.

The co-operation of staff and students is much appreciated.

Other disruption on June 8th will involve the transportation of equipment to/from vehicles from one section of the Main Building car park. Approximately 15 spaces will be unavailable to Main Building permit holders, however, the majority of the Main Building car park remains open, and overflow parking for Main Building permit holders will be available in Colum Drive.

Normal service will resume by the morning of June 9 2007.
