The footpath eastward from Iken Cliff picnic area comes out alongside the Alde, and the reeds peter out into grass on the banks just past some cottages. This is the only place in the area where grass begins, so it is possible this is where filming took place, though there is now a private boatdock in between (this could even be where the "village" is!).
