The front of the house is the oldest part, built during the end of the 15th Century, with other wings added over the course of the next couple of centuries. At one point there used to be a wall and a gatehouse!

Only one topiary bush remains that the Doctor and Sarah pass by the side of the house; the arches now have fences between them (presumably to discourage visitors from walking through them!).

The statue has moved! At the time of filming it used to be in the east gardens, near to the Bell Gate, but has subsequently been repositioned near the front of the house (presumably to improve the view from the Private Garden to the recently-built Canal).
