This is a private house; at the time of filming in 1987 it was under sale and only had some maintenance staff living on the premises.

How to get here:

Road: M25 - Exit junction 18 and head west towards Amersham. When you pass under the railway bridge for Chalfont and Latimer, turn left at the roundabout towards the Chalfonts (B4442). Elmswell House is on the right-hand side along Nightingales Lane, not too far before Roughwood Lane - the house has a sign. Parking: roadside. +

Mill Lane (Terror of the Autons). Road (1.5 miles, 4m) : Head south along the B4442, then turn right at the roundabout onto the A413. Turn left onto Mill Lane and the mill is just a little further along.

Hodgemoor Woods (Terror of the Autons). Road (2.7 miles, 9m) : Head south on Nightingales Lane (B4442) towards Chalfont St. Giles. Cross over the roundabout with the A413 into the village; turn right onto Silver Hill, and as it becomes Dodds Lane bear left onto Bottrells Lane. Continue on until you reach Bottom House Farm Lane, and there is a car park on the right.

St. Peter's Court (Terror of the Autons). Road (2.9 miles, 7m) : Head south on Nightingales Lane (B4442) towards Chalfont St. Giles. Turn left onto the A413 at the roundabout and follow it south; when you reach the roundabout signposted for Chalfont St. Peter, enter the village and there is a small side road leading into St. Peter's Court almost immediately on the left. Parking: anywhere in the court.

Church Lane car park (Terror of the Autons). Road (3.0 miles, 7m) : Head south on Nightingales Lane (B4442) towards Chalfont St. Giles. Turn left onto the A413 at the roundabout and follow it south; when you reach the roundabout signposted for Chalfont St. Peter, enter the village and then turn right into Church Lane; the car park is along the road next right. Parking: in the car park (pay and display)
