Lafarge Cement (Aberthaw)

Aberthaw opened in 1914 and provides cement to customers throughout Wales and south-west England. The site now operates an environmental management system that is registered under the Eco-Managment and Audit Scheme, and has been working towards a 'carbon neutral' operation.

Road: A48 - From the roundabout with A48 and A4232, head south on the A4050 towards Barry. When you reach Barry, continue on the A4226 towards Cardiff International Airport, along the A4226 and B4265. Continue towards St Athan, turning left beforehand towards East Aberthaw - the cement works are on the right. (~9.5 miles, ~18m) +
