Martin Down is a national nature reserve looked after by the Nature Conservancy Council and Hampshire County Council; it was acquired in 1978 and covers some 336 hectares, much of the land being registered common land and used for grazing.

Road: A354 - Martin Down is situated from the A354 between Salisbury and Blandford Forum; turn south into Martin Drove End (signposted Martin) and head towards Martin. When you reach the village green, turn left into Sillen Lane and at the end of the lane is a car park. Parking: car park. +
