Halnaker is a small village on the edge of the Goodwood Estate.
How to get here from Charlton:

Road: Head east out of the village on Charlton Road, then right onto Eastdean Hill at East Dean. Continue straight over the crossroads and then continue along, and there'll be an estate wall on the left. As the wall ends there is a turning to the left (opposide Goodwood House entrance) and then follow this to Halnaker. Park Lane will be on the left as you reach the end of the wall at the village. (5.1 miles, 9m) +

Park Lane becomes a private road, but is a public bridlepath; you can park at the southern end on the roadside by the houses.
Follow Park Lane north alongside the wall until you reach the isolated trees in the field to the right.
