Stonehenge is possibly the most famous stone circle in the world!

Special note for photography: It is possible to view the northern side of the circle which featured in The Pandorica Opens through the perimeter fence.

"You can see from the stone patterns that the filmed sequence was reversed for them running into the circle!"

Additional Notes:

The production of this section seemed to have involved reversing the filmed sequence, hence the stones look back to front!

"This was about the best angle I could get of the stones in the configuration seen on screen - the stock shot used was much closer than vistors are allowed to go!"

Trivia:

»

Stonehenge probably didn't look the way it did in The Pandorica Opens back in 102AD. The circle was broken up by the Romans some time during the occupation between 55BC and 410AD, but stones were also removed by people for other buildings leading up to when it became owned by King Henry VIII!
