Whitecliff Bay is a sheltered cove on the south-eastern side of the Isle; the cliffs expose rocks dating back to Palaeocene to late Eocene, and is a popular place to find fossils!

How to get here from Bembridge Sailing Club:

Road: Turn left out of the car park and bear right onto King's Road (B3395). Keep on the B3395 through Bembridge, then turn left into Hillway Road as you exit the village. Follow this all the way to the end, when it then becomes Peacock Hill, and then follow the road to Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park. Parking: caravan park (charge may apply). (2.5 miles, 11m) +

Cliff erosion has meant that finding the exact point where the "minefield" was set up isn't easy.

Bembridge Sailing Club (The Sea Devils). Road (2.5 miles, 11m) : Follow the road out of the caravan park and then down Peacock Hill, going straight across onto Hillway Road. Follow this until you reach Bembridge, turning right onto the B3395. Follow the route through the village, and when you reach Embankment Road by the marina there is a small parking area next to a cafe by the sailing club. Parking: parking area. Parking There is a car park near the cafe.
