The Collection Management Centre is the part of the Department of Industry in the National Museum of Wales; its purpose is to maintain the Museum's accountability for all of its collection, defined as: "maintaining legal ownership of potential acquisitions, the accessioning of newly acquired artefacts into the Department, the re-documenting of the collections, the maintenance of location records and the administering of the Department's inward and outward loans."
