St. Anne's was built in the 1880s as a school in Redhill, and was a four-storey red-brick building built in the shape of an 'H'. After the First World War the site became a Foundling Hospital, and then was sold to Surrey County Council in 1935, when it was then used to rehouse people from the Workhouse until it finally became a nursing home for the elderly and refuge for the homeless.
It ceased function in 1970 and the residents were slowly moved out, but in 1975 there was a serious fire that damaged the building and it was abandonned. It was finally demolished in December 1987.

Road: Exit the station and turn left, heading under the bridge. Turn left into Noke Drive and then left into St. Anne's Road. +

Road: M25 - Exit the M25 at junction 8 and head south on the A217 towards Reigate. Turn left onto the A25 into Redhill, and then continue through town until you reach Redhill Station. Pass under the rail bridge and then turn left into Noke Drive and then left again into St. Anne's Road. Parking: limited. +

The interior of the hospital was used for the story; however, since the entire building has now been demolished you can only view St. Anne's Road and the housing estate that's been built in it's place.
