Additional Notes:

The tide goes out quite a way along this stretch of the coast, uncovering the sandy beach - at high tide the sea comes right into the stones making up sea defences.

Additional Notes:

»

The fence seen in the screenshot seems likely to be for Littlehampton golf course, which runs alongside much of the beach at the eastern end.

»

Many sections of the sand dunes are now fenced off to protect against erosion and help local species to thrive. The larger dunes to the west are also part of a nature reserve.
