Imperial Park
Wills Way, Hartcliffe Way, Hartcliffe, Bristol

Formerly known as WD and HO Wills Tobacco Factory

WD and HO Wills was founded in 1786 in Bristol, and was one of the first tobacco companies to make cigarettes. The company became part of the Imperial Tobacco Company at the start of the 20th Century to stave off American takeovers. The Hartcliffe premises opened in 1974, and was the largest cigarette factory in Europe. It was closed in 1990 and was demolished in 1998 to make way for a retail park. The old Wills headquarters adjacent to it still remains, though is only a shell.
