Riverside Drive
Ham, Middlesex

Riverside Drive runs along by the Thames in Ham, with a housing estate on one side and open ground on the other leading to the river's edge. There are a number of playing fields on its northern edge, not too far from Ham House.

Since filming, the road has been resurfaced and the street lights have been moved from away from the edge of the pavement.

How to get here:

»

Bus: Kingston Bus Map - Route 371, to Broughton Avenue (Mariner Gardens), stops M/X. Walk north along Broughton Avenue, then turn left into Ashburnham Road and follow it as it bears right. Turn left into Croft Way, and then right into Riverside Drive. +

»

Road: M3 - Exit at junction one (Sunbury) onto the roundabout and then follow the A308 east towards Hampton Court. Then continue along the A308 to Kingston, crossing the river and then following the one-way system to Richmond Road (A307) to Richmond. Turn left at Dukes Avenue and this then becomes Riverside Drive. Croft Way will be on the right. +

... so the Doctor drives straight underneath!

This position is based upon the way the road straightens by Croft Way, as it appears straight where the brontosaurus is standing.

Interesting point to note in the screen shots, judging by its feet the brontosaurus seems to have turned around between the Brigadier spotting it and the Doctor driving underneath it!
