The St. Woolos Cemetery is the oldest public cemetery in Britain, having opened in 1850.

Road: M4 - Exit the M4 at junction 27, and head east on the B4592 (Glasllwch Crescent). Turn almost immediately right onto Western Avenue, and then follow this until you reach Bassaleg Road at the end, then turn left. Continue along here until you reach the cemetery. (1.2 miles, 3m) +

Enter the cemetery through the Basseleg Road entrance, then follow the path clockwise to the junction; bear left and then follow the path on the right up to the grave.
