In the 19th Century Walmer Road was the site for a number of potteries, and one of the few remaining examples of a bottle kiln may be seen on the road opposite Avondale Park.

Underground (Hammersmith & City): Latimer Road - Turn left out of the station and walk along Bramley Road leading into St Ann's Road. Then turn left into Stoneleigh Place. At the end, turn right into Sirdar Road and then left into Mary Place. This leads into Walmer Road. +

Bus: Ladbroke Grove Map - Route 295, stop St Ann's Road, Stoneleigh Place. Head along Stoneleigh Place, turning right at the end into Sirdar Road and then left into Mary Place. This leads into Walmer Road. +

Princedale Road (The Invasion). Head south along Walmer Road until you reach the end, then continue south into Princedale Road. Continue along here until you reach Penzance Place.

St. James's Gardens (The Invasion). Head south along Walmer Road until you reach the end, then continue south into Princedale Road. Continue along here and then turn right into Penzance Place, which leads into St. James's Gardens.
