Milford Chest Hospital

Much of the hospital is now derelict, with buildings boarded up and close to collapse, or in some cases demolished. The main building is still open, and services an NHS elderley residential home that has been built on the site.

How to get here:

Rail: Milford - Exit the station to the main road, for the eastern side of the level crossing. There is a road by the station on the northern side, and this is a public footpath which leads through to Tuesley. When you reach Tuesley Lane, turn right and then follow it back to the hospital. (Note: the path does run along the back of the hospital). (~1.0 miles, ~ 20m) +

Road: A3 - Exit the A3 at the junction for Milford (A283). Head into Milford, and then turn left onto Portsmouth Road. At the end, turn right onto Church Road (A286) and then immediately left onto Station Road. Continue along here, passing the railway, and then turn left into Tuesley Lane. Keep along here and you will eventually reach the hospital. +

High Street (The Silurians). Road (1.6 miles, 6m) : Turn left out of the hospital and then follow Tuesley Lane to Godalming. This will eventually become Holloway Hill, and this then ends up at a junction with traffic lights. Turn right onto the A3100 (Flambard Way), and then turn left into South Street where there is a car park. Parking Pay and display car park (free on Sundays). Walk down to the High Street and then then follow it to the far end.
