Formerly known as Crowborough Wireless Telegraph Station
The original transmitter was built on this site for the Political War Executive in the Second World War, and was partially used by the BBC from 1942 for it's European Service, and then hired by them after the war for the World Service. It was closed in 1992 and the site is now a training centre for Sussex Police.
17th Jan 2007: The site is earmarked to be closed as part of a cost-cutting exercise, reported by Hastings Today (see link below).

There are a number of car parks off the road for the forest.
This location is private and has no or limited access only. The training station is private, and there is no access to see whether the buildings are still there; the antenna can easily be seen from the perimeter fences
