Trent Park
Middlesex
Trent Park originates as part of Henry IV's hunting estate Enfield Chase; during the 18th Century it came under the ownership of Royal Physician Richard Jebb, and was landscaped by Humphry Repton to include features such as the the ornamental lakes and lime tree avenue.
How to get here:

Underground (Piccadilly): Cockfosters - Exit the station and head north along Cockfosters Road, past the cemetary. When you reach the gates to the park on the right, enter and follow the road round to the first mini-obelisk, and then continue left into the car park. +

Bus: Cockfosters Bus Map - Route 298, get off at Trent Country Park. Enter the gates and follow the road round to the first mini-obelisk, and then continue left into the car park. +

Road: M25 - Exit the M25 at junction 24, then follow the A111 south until you reach Trent Country Park. Turn left through the gates and then follow the road round to the first mini-obelisk, and then continue left into the car park. Parking: free. +
Areas within Trent Park to visit:
Walk to the end of the picnic area, turning left and then following the path into the forest. Continue along the path, passing by the open field on the right, and then through gates back into the forest (with an open field to the left). This eventually leads to the Obelisk. | Walk back to the mini-obelisk and then walk along the main drive into the park. When you reach the large obelisk at the end of the drive, bear left and follow the road to the front of the house. |

Walk past the northern end of the stables (clocktower) and then turn right and head up to the nursery. |
