Wookey Hole Caves

The caves at Wookey Hole contain some 50000 years of human habitation and is an archaelogical treasure! The extensive caves eroded out by the river Axe are still being investigated, with some 25 chambers discovered so far (only the first few are accessible on tour).

The passageway from the Witches Parlour to the Cathedral Cave is now partially split, as a new tunnel was made to connect the two, passing through further caverns that weren't accessible at the time of filming . The old route now houses the Wookey Hole cheeses!
