The Buckhurst Park woods form part of the estate, but are not open to the public.
How to get here:

Road: B2110 - Via Royal Tunbridge Wells (A26), follow the A264 west towards East Grinstead, then take the B2110 towards Groombridge. At Groombridge, continue across the mini-roundabout towards Withyham; the entrance to Buckhurst Park is by the Dorset Arms pub. Parking: road alongside the pub. By foot follow the drive up to the house; the woods are by a lake at the bottom of the hill. +

The woods where Castrovalva was filmed are part of the private area of the Estate; the photo is of one of the lakes that is publicly viewable nearby (which wasn't used as far as we know!)

Buckhurst House (Black Orchid). Walk back to the drive and head up the hill towards the house front gates.

Withyham Cricket Club (Black Orchid). Walk back to the drive and head towards the entrance to the Park; the cricket ground is a few hundred yards from the entrance, on the right.
