Four Barrows
Aldbourne, Wiltshire
The barrows are dated from 2500-1500BC, and when excavated in the 19th Century were found to contain cremations and a skeleton, plus many artifacts - these are now held in the British Museum.
Filming took place by the second barrow on the site from the gates.
How to get here:
»
Road: M4 - Exit the M4 at junction 15, then head north on the A419 to the next roundabout. Take the B4192 towards Liddington and then this leads to Aldbourne. Once parked, head through the village green past the Blue Boar pub and bear right onto Crooked Corner. After the church there is a trail on the left, and this leads to the barrows after about a mile. +

There is no vehicular access to the barrows, so you will need to park in Aldbourne; there is free parking by the pond.
