Great Queen Street
Holborn, London

Great Queen Street was constructed during the 17th Century and was notable as being one of the first residential areas in this area at that time, which included figures such as parliamentary general Sir Thomas Fairfax and the dramatist Richard Brainsley Sheridan.

The street is most notable for the Freemason's Hall, home to the United Grand Lodge of English Freemasonry. Originally a massive structure on the street, the building has since been divided into smaller functions, one of which is the conference and banquetting venue the New Connaught Rooms.
