Lee Valley Ice Centre
Leyton, London, E10 7QL

Lee Valley Ice Centre was built during the 1980s, over playing fields that run alongside the River Lea, off Lea Bridge Road.

Circuses continue to perform on the site, normally on the grassland in front of the Ice Centre.

The Centre is regularly used for television - recently for rehearsals of ITV's Dancing on Ice show featuring John Barrowman and Bonnie Langford!

General Details

This site holds a special memory for me, as being local I remember being taken to see the circus here in the early 1970s, and also meeting Tom Baker at a local fair held on the playing fields just after he'd started in the show!
