The M4 around Newport was opened in 1967. The new Severn Bridge used by the M4 was openeed in 1996 (the older bridge now used by the M48).

The scenes with Gwen on the motorway are intercut with Rhys talking about a house to buy (). The scene shows Gwen seeing the Severn Bridge ahead, but then cuts back to her driving along the original stretch!
